Introduction

Privacy should be seen not only as the concept of controlling access to oneself but also as a dynamic and transitive element in human interactions. Throughout my portfolio, I explore privacy and surveillance through various contexts, starting with how these themes and views noted by the works of Kupfer, Weintraub, and others manifest in college life and ending with a privacy-oriented analysis of the famous The Dark Knight. The goal of this portfolio is to take the reader on the journey I went through taking this course and the evolution of my thought, as well as a means to connect the themes of privacy and surveillance through various mediums such as film, architecture, photography, texts, and my reality.
